Buddhist mandalaLast week I posted about finding specific reference items for deciding on a color palette, whether it’s a piece of art, another interior space, a fabric or perhaps a piece of furniture. Using fabrics and tapestries from around the world are very helpful because often there are combinations of colors put together which are unique.

This is a Mandala which is often used as a meditation aid in Buddhism and Hinduism to progress to deeper levels of consciousness. The combination of tones is beautiful, and while a lot of different colors are used including various shades of green, red, blue, orange, yellow and beige, it still retains a calm, organic feel.
