This apartment located in Tribeca is a space I designed for a couple in the city. The original space was enclosed and had several unnecessary partitions which made it feel small and enclosed. The couple had been living in the apartment for a few years and were ready to create a space which represented their contemporary taste. To create such an open environment  for this apartment, I incorporated pocket doors and eliminated several kitchen walls to open up the space. The couple likes to entertain so we added an outdoor space that has two main areas. The section as you exit the space has a built in eating area and across from it I created a lounge area with a contemporary outdoor fireplace.
