Our Practice

Comprehensive Design & Build Services

We offer three distinct tiers of service to accommodate the specific architectural requirements and investment levels of your property.

I.

Interior Decoration

Decor, as we practice it, is not a synonym for shopping. It is the discipline of creating a home from objects that hold value — in craft, in provenance, and over time. Every piece we specify is evaluated against three standards: will it be physically sound in twenty years, will it remain aesthetically relevant, and does it represent genuine making by a craftsperson whose work will retain its value.

Programs include:
Curation

Curation is the Decor service for a residence that functions but has not yet been resolved. The layout works. The building is right. The space simply does not yet reflect the life and sensibility of the person who lives in it. That gap is what this service closes.

Bespoke

Bespoke is the Decor service for clients who apply the same standards to their living environment as they do to their art collection. Every piece is evaluated for secondary market value, craft lineage, and whether it represents genuine making by an artisan whose work will outlast the decade it was specified in. No piece in a Bespoke program should be reproducible by another client working with another designer.

II.

Interior Design

Design is the service for a residence that needs to function differently as well as feel different. The bones may be good — or they may simply be what they are. Either way, this is the scope that resolves the kitchen, the bathrooms, the storage, the lighting, and the systems. When the work is complete, the residence operates the way the client's life actually works.

Programs include:
Upgrade

Upgrade is the Design service for a residence that has good bones and dated finishes. The building is right. The location is right. The layout is livable. What the space lacks is the material quality, storage resolution, and lighting intelligence that it should have had from the start — or that the intervening decades have rendered obsolete.

Improvement

Improvement is the Design service for a new or recently acquired residence that needs a complete design layer. The building is excellent. The developer specification is adequate. The apartment looks exactly like every other unit in the building. This service resolves that problem — not by renovating the building, but by designing the residence that lives within it.

III.

Construction & Build

Build is the service for a residence that needs to be reconceived at the structural level. The kitchen and bathrooms come out. Walls move. Systems are replaced. In some projects, two units are combined into one. The studio leads all design decisions from the first drawing to the completion certificate — and coordinates the licensed team that executes them.

Programs include:
Remodeling

Remodeling is the Build service for a complete structural reconception — a project where the existing layout is not the constraint but the starting point. Walls move. Units combine. Every system is replaced from the infrastructure up. When the work is complete, the residence is fundamentally different from what it was.

Renovation

Renovation is the Build service for a project that requires room-level structural work. The kitchen comes out. The bathrooms come out. Some walls move. The electrical is replaced. When the work is complete, the residence has been reconceived at the level of its most-used spaces — without touching the structural system of the building.
